Mold Testing Services Available in South Florida

Many people are lucky enough to have never experienced a mold issue in their home or place of business. While mold is fairly common in our hot and humid climate of South Florida, it takes excess moisture for mold to thrive.

If you’ve never experienced a mold issue, you likely have several questions if you suspect one in your property. Our company has been providing mold assessment services for individuals and businesses in South Florida for many years. We have the licensure and expertise to help you determine if there is an issue in your space and to help make a plan to remove it if so.

Many people are curious about our mold testing process and how we arrive at the results we include in the final report we furnish for every client. In the sections to follow, we will discuss a few steps we take during the testing process. Hopefully this will shed some light on our service and provide insight into how we can be of assistance.

Physical Inspection

We run lab tests on samples from each property we inspect, but our technicians are also experienced in thorough inspection of your property to provide a full picture of mold activity. Mold thrives in a few key areas of your home or office space, including any areas with water like bathrooms or kitchens, problematic flooding spaces, areas around pipes, HVAC units and more. Our team members perform a complete inspection and document everything to include in the final report. By knowing what signs to look for and where to gather samples, we can paint the most complete picture of mold activity possible.

Surface Sample Testing

Sometimes a mold issue is evident because there is visible growth on surfaces which are plain to see. Even if mold isn’t visible in commonly trafficked areas, there could be mold growth behind walls, inside cabinets, around the HVAC unit or in other problematic areas. An area can also have mold present without visible growth. Our technicians are trained to collect samples from various surfaces, even if growth isn’t present, for testing in our lab. By collecting several samples and having them professionally analyzed, we can gain a good understanding of if the area has an issue.

Air Sample Testing

Some forms of mold can be present in the air and cause health issues even without presenting any physical evidence of their presence. Moist air can hold mold particles, which is why we also collect air samples from around the property to have tested in our lab along with the surface samples.

When testing is complete, we use all these data points to provide detailed insight for our clients into potential mold activity in their space. While no test can determine 100% of the mold in a given area, we use these proven methods to provide accurate insight for our clients which they can rely on.
